Scope"}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"This policy applies to all children participating in MR Sports clubs, as well as staff, coaches, and volunteers responsible for their supervision and care."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"4. Code of Conduct for Children"}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"Children participating in MR Sports clubs are expected to:"}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Show respect for others, including peers, coaches, and staff."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Listen and follow instructions given by coaches and staff."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Play safely and use equipment responsibly."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Respect the facilities and environment."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Include others and avoid exclusionary behaviour."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Communicate positively – no swearing, shouting, or name-calling."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Refrain from any form of physical aggression or bullying."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"5. Positive Reinforcement"}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"To encourage positive behaviour, MR Sports will:"}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Praise and reward good behaviour."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Use positive reinforcement techniques, such as verbal encouragement and reward systems."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Foster an inclusive and supportive environment."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"6. Unacceptable Behaviour"}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"The following behaviours are considered unacceptable:"}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Physical aggression (e.g., hitting, kicking, biting)."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Verbal abuse (e.g., name-calling, shouting, swearing)."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Bullying, including cyberbullying."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Disrespect towards coaches, staff, or peers."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Deliberate damage to property."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Refusal to follow instructions."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"● Any behaviour that endangers the safety of others."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"7. Behavioural Management Procedure"}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"When unacceptable behaviour occurs, the following steps will be taken:"}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"1. Verbal Warning: The child will be given a verbal warning, explaining why the behaviour is inappropriate and how to correct it."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"2. Time Out: If the behaviour persists, the child will be given a short time out to reflect on their actions."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"3. Discussion with Child: Coaches will speak privately with the child to understand the reason for their behaviour and help them find better ways to express themselves."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"4. Parent/Guardian Involvement: If the behaviour continues, parents/guardians will be informed and involved in discussions to find a resolution."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"5. Temporary Suspension: In serious or repeated cases of unacceptable behaviour, the child may be temporarily suspended from attending the club."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"6. Permanent Exclusion: In extreme cases where behaviour does not improve, MR Sports reserves the right to permanently exclude the child from the club."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"8. Bullying Policy"}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"MR Sports has a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying.
